The Quarterly Journal of Economic Modelling Research is a scholarly journal published by Kharazmi University in collaboration with the Iranian Association for Energy Economics. The journal began its academic publication activities following the approval of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, under Letter No. 63-4/11/3, dated 28 Tir 1389 (July 19, 2010). The journal was formerly published under the title Journal of Economic Sciences.

The Quarterly Journal of Economic Modelling Research welcomes original scholarly articles in the following areas:
Theoretical and empirical economic modelling;
Modelling of microeconomic and macroeconomic issues;
Sectoral and intersectoral economic modelling;
Applications of econometric, quantitative, and computational methods to economic analysis;
Interdisciplinary research based on economic modelling.
Submitted manuscripts undergo an initial assessment to determine their conformity with the journal’s aims, scope, and scholarly standards before entering the peer-review process. The journal is committed to research originality, scientific quality, transparency in peer review, and adherence to publication ethics, and follows recognized principles and standards of ethical scholarly publishing.
The journal aims to provide a rigorous academic platform for the dissemination of theoretical and applied research in economic modelling, promote the application and advancement of quantitative and econometric methods in economic analysis, foster scholarly exchange among researchers, and contribute to improving the quality of academic and policy-oriented research in economics.
